Enough people have visited me in the Hague that I felt that it was time to put together a little eating guide with my favorite restaurants in the Hague. I prioritize authentic and good food over a fancy atmosphere. As a result, I’ve left off some of the many high caliber restaurants in the Hague worth visiting if you’re open to splurging a little. Is it weird that I consider breakfast a very important food group? Maybe it’s my American upbringing, but I am a huge fan of breakfast and brunch. This post is about the best brunch/breakfast cafes in the Hague by one very biased American couple living in the Hague. I’ve been in the Hague for almost a year now and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the thriving craft beer scene in the Hague! As a craft beer lovers, both of us have been very busy trying out all the various breweries around the Hague and we solemnly promise to try to keep this updated as new exciting breweries come to the Hague. Is there anything more Dutch than herring? This favorite fish is a staple of the Dutch diet, yet many foreigners know little about it. Ever since moving to the Hague, I was lucky enough to experience Vlaggetjesdag, an amazing yearly celebration of herring season in the Netherlands.
