Why you should visit Eastern Kentucky

May 1, 2023 by Karen 1 Comment

Travel is not just about going somewhere new, but also coming back to somewhere familiar.  I’m an unlikely proponent of visiting Eastern Kentucky as someone who was born and raised in New York City and who had never set foot in Kentucky until I met Jacob.  However, Jacob helped me find the charm of this oft-forgotten region of the United States even if he doesn’t always see it himself.

April 13, 2023 by Karen 7 Comments

I knew that the Hague was cosmopolitan, however, I never expected the range of cafes in the Hague that I’ve found here.  As someone who is an entrepreneur, I find that working at a coffee shop (not that kind!) helps me feel both refreshed and inspired in a way that I cannot feel at home.  Similarly, there’s a lot of taking a moment to enjoy a good cup of coffee and the little joys that something so simple can bring, so keep reading for my favorite cafes and coffee shops in the Hague!

The best 15+ travel games for your phone that work offline

January 3, 2023 by Karen 2 Comments

As someone with limited data, I’m always astounded how few apps work well offline and without data. I’m often toying with a new phone app that I can play while on the road.  After far too many apps that I’ve burned through during a long bus ride, I’ve asked my fellow bloggers for their favorite travel game apps for iPhone and Android that work perfectly offline, so even if you’re on a long plane ride, you can still enjoy playing on your phone!  I’ve tried to focus this list on thought-provoking games for your phone that challenge your mind, rather than games that just keep you busy (as they’re addictive).
