Traveling to the UAE: Pleasant Nuances

April 2, 2024 by Deborah Green Leave a Comment

A good trip always starts with route planning. And it is best to plan a route that will elicit as many positive emotions as possible. To do so, you must consider all potential features of the country you are visiting. This article will teach you about the pleasant nuances of public transportation in the UAE, as well as the opportunities provided by local car rental services.

Car rental services

If you are looking for more in-depth travel advice about Belgium and the Netherlands, I created a guidebook on behalf of Moon Travel about Amsterdam, Brussels, and Bruges. You can find this book on Amazon!

Let’s start right away with a car rental. Renting a car in the UAE is simple; all you need is a passport, a national license, and an international driver’s license. There are many different types of cars to choose from besides ordinary civilian cars. You can rent luxury cars, and sports cars. If you check the price of lamborghini in dubai you’ll see how affordable taking a sports car for hire is. The car rental company provides full life and health insurance and accepts all forms of payment.

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Dubai Traffic Rules and fines for infringement as well as the Salik toll roads, parking lots and charges, means of payments, and fines for breaking parking rules before you decide to rent a car.

Public transport

Dubai’s public transportation system is a vast and high-tech network that is constantly evolving with the most cutting-edge and environmentally friendly technologies. Dubai has a modern metro system, a one-of-a-kind tram line, and several ports and airports.

Ground transportation in Dubai was and continues to be the most popular: metro, buses, and taxis. True, almost every resident owns or rents a car, and migrant workers and tourists frequently use buses and the metro.

Metro

On September 9, 2009, at 21:09:09, the first metro line was inaugurated. Sheikh Mohammed chose this unusual time for the opening. The Dubai Metro is one of the most environmentally friendly on the planet, and it operates without a driver. The trains travel at speeds of up to 110 km/h, cross different transportation zones in the emirate, have WiFi and air conditioning, different types of carriages, and, of course, offer passengers a variety of fares.

Metro

Train carriages are classified differently depending on the fare you select:

  • Premium class carriages, also known as Gold class carriages, have spacious leather seats and offer panoramic views;
  • Women’s and children’s carriages;
  • Silver Class or general carriages.

Buses and trams

Tram and bus stops are typically located near the metro. These modes of transportation are not inferior to subway cars in terms of comfort; they have air conditioning, interactive maps, and comfortable seats:

  • Buses transport passengers from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Waving your hand will cause the driver to stop. To get off at a complete stop, press the STOP button on the handrail. The first three rows are reserved exclusively for women with children;
  • Trams run daily from 06.00 to 01.00 (except Fridays, which begin at 09.00). The tram cars are divided into three zones: general, women and children, and “golden.” Dubai Tram Line – 10.6 km of track (11 stops). It is powered by an underground cable electrical network and connects the metro, monorail, and Jumeirah Beach Road. Wi-Fi is available on trams;
  • Tourist buses use a hop-on/hop-off system. You can get off at any station along the route and board another bus that follows the same route.

Despite all the convenience of buses, people still have to adjust to the transport schedule. Therefore, even local residents, not to mention tourists, choose car rentals, because rented cars are even available in economy class, and the overpayment for personal comfort will not be very much. A rented car ordered from a top-notch rental shop is always about mobility and freedom, so many people prefer to rent one-time or on a monthly basis.

Water transport

Water taxis. There are 43 taxi stations located along the emirate’s entire coastline. Each vessel can accommodate ten passengers and is outfitted with air conditioning and LCD monitors. They operate daily from 10:00 to 22:00.

Conclusion

Unfortunately, we are unable to cover all modes of public transportation, including monorail, taxi, ferry, and many others. You can, however, travel to the UAE and see everything for yourself. Perhaps you are interested in renting a collective car and will decide to drive it around the Emirates after reading this article. That’s a great idea. Believe me, visiting emirates such as Dubai or Abu Dhabi will leave you with unforgettable memories.
