Nachdem ich \u00fcber die Abbaye de Villers gelesen und einige Fotos gesehen hatte, als ich Tagesausfl\u00fcge von Br\u00fcssel aus recherchierte, musste ich diese wundersch\u00f6ne belgische Abtei besuchen! Die Abtei Villers liegt in Villers-la-Ville im franz\u00f6sischsprachigen Teil Belgiens, Wallonien, und ich halte sie f\u00fcr eine der besten Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten in Belgien.<\/p>\n

Diese wundersch\u00f6ne Abtei liegt in Ruinen, was Teil ihres Charmes ist, aber lies weiter f\u00fcr Gr\u00fcnde, die Abtei Villers zu besuchen, einschlie\u00dflich erstaunlichem Abteibier und wundersch\u00f6nen Fotos der Abbaye de Villers.<\/p>\n

Zum ersten Mal las ich \u00fcber die Abtei Villers auf Atlas Obscura. Ich habe eine Liebe f\u00fcr verlassene Orte und nachdem ich ein Foto der Abbaye Villers bei der Recherche f\u00fcr Tagesausfl\u00fcge von Br\u00fcssel gesehen hatte, war ich \u00fcberzeugt. Mein Mann, meine Schwiegereltern und ich hatten viel Spa\u00df, als wir im November dieses weitl\u00e4ufige Komplex aus wundersch\u00f6n erhaltenen Ruinen mit traumhafter Herbstlaubf\u00e4rbung erkundeten.<\/p>\n

Die Abtei Villers (Abbaye de Villers) ist eine Zisterzienserabtei, die bis ins 12. Jahrhundert zur\u00fcckreicht, wurde jedoch 1796 aufgegeben. Die Abtei ist ziemlich gro\u00df, und es wird angenommen, dass zu einem Zeitpunkt bis zu 100 M\u00f6nche dort lebten. Die Restaurierungsarbeiten begannen jedoch erst im sp\u00e4ten 18. Jahrhundert. Die Abtei ist immer noch absolut sch\u00f6n und perfekt f\u00fcr Liebhaber von Architektur, Geschichte und Ruinen, die einen sch\u00f6nen Tagesausflug von Br\u00fcssel aus suchen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Die Abtei Villers befindet sich in der Stadt Villers-La-Ville, nur 40 Minuten s\u00fcdlich von Br\u00fcssel, und ist damit der perfekte Tagesausflug von Br\u00fcssel aus. Es ist eine zw\u00f6lfmin\u00fctige Fahrt vom Herg\u00e9-Museum entfernt, das das Leben und Werk von George Remi, dem Autor von Tim und Struppi, dokumentiert. (Es w\u00e4re sehr gut machbar, beides zu kombinieren, wenn man sich mindestens 2-3 Stunden Zeit nimmt, um die Abtei Villers zu erkunden.)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/form>\n<\/div>\n

Die Abtei Villers ist an den meisten Tagen von 10:00 bis 17:00\/18:00 Uhr (abh\u00e4ngig vom Tag) ge\u00f6ffnet, mit Schlie\u00dfungen um Weihnachten herum. Ich war \u00fcberrascht, wie leer die Abtei war. Wenn du jedoch die Abtei Villers an einem Samstag oder Sonntag besuchst, wirst du von Brautgesellschaften umgeben sein, die ihre Hochzeitsfotos in der Abtei aufnehmen. Du wirst wahrscheinlich in den Hintergrund eines Fotos geraten, aber mach dir keine allzu gro\u00dfen Sorgen dar\u00fcber.<\/div>\n

Wenn du belgisches Bier liebst…<\/h2>\n
Die Abtei Villers verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber eine eigene Mikrobrauerei mit erstaunlichem, vor Ort produziertem Bier, das auf den Bierrezepten der M\u00f6nche basiert und organische Zutaten sowie traditionelle Methoden verwendet. Mein Mann war von der 9%igen Triple (Abbaye de Villers IX) begeistert, w\u00e4hrend ich mich f\u00fcr die blonde 5%ige Authentique (Abbaye de Villers V) entschieden habe. Ich empfehle, dich einzudecken, wenn du ein Bierliebhaber bist. Es gibt auch ein Restaurant, wenn du eine Kleinigkeit essen m\u00f6chtest.<\/div>\n

Wenn du die Abtei besuchst, bedenke, dass diese Abtei riesig ist, daher wirst du mindestens drei Stunden ben\u00f6tigen, um sie ordentlich zu erkunden. Dies beinhaltet die Kapelle, die „G\u00e4rten“, die Au\u00dfenanlagen und den Aussichtspunkt. Es gibt sogar geheime G\u00e4nge unter den Strukturen, also wenn das etwas f\u00fcr dich ist (wie f\u00fcr meinen Mann), wirst du begeistert sein. (Einige d\u00fcrfen nicht betreten werden, also achte vor dem Betreten sorgf\u00e4ltig auf die Schilder. Halte die Mitglieder deiner Gruppe im Auge, da die Abtei von Villers gro\u00df ist. (Wir haben meine Schwiegermutter eine Stunde lang verloren.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Du kannst mit dem Auto dorthin fahren, was dir mehr Flexibilit\u00e4t bietet. Alternativ kannst du mit dem Zug nach Villers-la-Ville fahren, was dich 2 km von der Abtei entfernt bringt.<\/div>\n

Wenn du also nach sch\u00f6nen und ungew\u00f6hnlichen Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten in Belgien suchst, empfehle ich einen Besuch der Abtei von Villers.<\/em><\/div>\n
