Viele Kreuzfahrtschiff-Besucher machen nur kurz w\u00e4hrend eines Landausflugs Halt und verpassen viele dieser tollen Aktivit\u00e4ten auf Prince Edward Island. PEI war einst die Fuchshauptstadt Kanadas. Heute ist die Jagd auf F\u00fcchse und ihre Pelze illegal, daher gedeihen sie \u00fcberall, auch in der Hauptstadt,<strong> Charlottetown.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Park Ranger haben uns gesagt, wo sie sich normalerweise aufhalten, obwohl ich nicht das Gl\u00fcck hatte, selbst einen zu sehen. Die Anzahl der PEI-Besucher \u00fcbersteigt jedoch j\u00e4hrlich 1.000.000. Trotz der Menschenmassen hat Charlottetown viel Charme zu bieten. In Charlottetown empfehlen wir den Besuch des Victoria Parks. Es ist ein gro\u00dfartiger Park mitten in der Stadt neben dem Hafen. Wir liebten es, am Seehafen auf dem Steg entlang zu gehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Victoria Row<\/strong> ist eine malerische Fu\u00dfg\u00e4ngerzone in der Innenstadt von Charlottetown, in der sich viele Restaurants befinden. Es gibt eine gro\u00dfartige Auswahl an K\u00fcche von Meeresfr\u00fcchten bis zu asiatischen Gerichten. Im Sommer gibt es durchgehend Musik, da Live-Jazzbands den ganzen Abend \u00fcber auftreten. Es lohnt sich, nur wegen der K\u00fcnstler nach Victoria Row zu kommen. Ich empfehle dringend den <strong>Cavendish Beach<\/strong>, der Teil des Nationalparks ist. Dort solltest du unbedingt den Dunes Trail \u00fcber den Steg wandern. Der Weg, ein leichter Spaziergang, ist etwas mehr als 1 Meile lang und zeigt viele einheimische Pflanzen von PEI. Das Wasser <strong>des Golf von St. Lawrence<\/strong> wird durch den Golfstrom aus dem S\u00fcden erw\u00e4rmt, sodass das Wasser im Sommer \u00fcberraschend warm war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ein weiterer gro\u00dfartiger Strand ist <strong>Brackley<\/strong>. Es ist nicht weit von Cavendish entfernt. Alle Str\u00e4nde an der Nordk\u00fcste haben beeindruckende rote Klippen und roten Sand. In der N\u00e4he beider Str\u00e4nde befindet sich <strong>Chez Yvonne<\/strong>. Dieses Haus geh\u00f6rt Verwandten von Lucy Maud Montgomery, der Autorin von Anne von Green Gables. Es war faszinierend zu sehen, wie diese Frau zahlreiche B\u00fccher \u00fcber das Leben auf Prince Edward Island im fr\u00fchen 20. Jahrhundert schrieb. L.M. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Montgomery ist eine Inspiration, da sie zahlreiche Ablehnungen von Verlagen \u00fcberwand. Heute wurden mehr als 50 Millionen ihrer B\u00fccher verkauft. Das Green Gables Haus zeigt, wie die Einheimischen auf PEI vor \u00fcber hundert Jahren lebten. Egal, ob du ein Fan des Buches bist, du kannst das Green Gables Haus nicht von deiner Liste der Dinge, die du auf der PEI-Insel sehen musst, streichen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ich hatte nicht vor, North Rustico zu besuchen, aber ich habe es absolut geliebt, diesen wundersch\u00f6nen Teil von Prince Edward Island zu besuchen. Es liegt in der N\u00e4he von Brackley Beach. In North Rustico haben wir einem Einheimischen, Brendan, zugeh\u00f6rt, der Musik mit L\u00f6ffeln macht. Diese Technik ist eine arkadische und PEI-Tradition. Halte Ausschau nach ihm! Das Caf\u00e9 wird von zwei Schwestern betrieben, die frische lokale Produkte servieren. Das Caf\u00e9 bietet einen Blick auf den Leuchtturm und den Strand. Bei <strong>Outside Expeditions<\/strong> gibt es viele Mietangebote, darunter Fahrr\u00e4der, Kajaks und andere Paddeltouren im Golf. Sie verkaufen auch Drachen im zweiten Stock. Ich empfehle dringend, mehr Zeit in dieser Stadt zu verbringen, um Kajak zu fahren, an den Strand zu gehen oder eine Bootstour mit den Hummerbooten zu machen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Auf der gesamten Insel gibt es viele Schilder, <strong><em>die Ceilidhs<\/em><\/strong> (ausgesprochen Kal-lee) in Kirchen, Schulen, Bars und anderen \u00f6ffentlichen Versammlungsorten ank\u00fcndigen. Dies sind traditionelle Musikdarbietungen, bei denen traditionelle Lieder zusammen mit traditionellen T\u00e4nzen aufgef\u00fchrt werden. Dies war eines meiner Lieblingserlebnisse auf Prince Edward Island. (Du kannst <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wanderlustingk.com\/de\/travel-blog\/cape-breton\">Ceilidhs auch in Nova Scotia sehen!<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"tvqprrbt4ogtyvxlhngw\" data-volume=\"70\" data-ratio=\"16:9\"><\/div>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"\/\/video.mediavine.com\/videos\/tvqprrbt4ogtyvxlhngw.js\" async=\"\" data-noptimize=\"\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">W\u00e4hrend du auf PEI bist, probiere unbedingt ihre lokalen Kartoffeln. PEI produziert 25% aller in Kanada verzehrten Kartoffeln. Im Sommer haben viele Bauern Schilder f\u00fcr die neue Ernte. Probiere eine, sie sind k\u00f6stlich. PEI produziert vier Arten von Kartoffeln: Russet, Wei\u00df, Rot und Gelb. Du kannst sie in vielen Caf\u00e9s finden!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Anreise nach Prince Edward Island macht auch Spa\u00df. Ich bin \u00fcber die <strong>Borden-Carleton Bridge<\/strong> gefahren, da es der schnellste Weg ist, die Insel von New Brunswick aus zu betreten. Die Br\u00fccke wurde 1997 erbaut und kostete \u00fcber eine Milliarde Dollar. Fr\u00fcher war die einzige M\u00f6glichkeit, die Insel zu betreten oder zu verlassen, mit der F\u00e4hre. Die F\u00e4hrdienste werden von Northumberland Ferries angeboten und fahren von Nova Scotia und New Brunswick ab. Nat\u00fcrlich gibt es in dieser Stadt hervorragende Meeresfr\u00fcchte. Ich habe das Landmark Oyster House wegen der Meeresfr\u00fcchte wirklich genossen, ein Muss f\u00fcr alle, die PEI besuchen. Ein weiterer Favorit ist die Lobster Barn, von der viele Einheimische schw\u00f6ren, dass sie das beste Meeresfr\u00fcchteangebot auf PEI hat.
